Death is insidious. It comes suddenly when you least expect it. It is terrifying. A lively, living person suddenly ceases to exist. One who has seen death, has nightmares every night as I have been having.
Death is inevitable. Unstoppable. For the last few months I had been hoping against hope that my ailing mother would live longer. When death came, it came swiftly and silently. I could do nothing. It drives one half crazy.
When sees death from near, one sees the utter worthlessness of everything that seemed so important in the past. Death is so meaningless. The quote above tries to give some meaning to death but I fail to see it.
If death is meaningless, is there any meaning in life? Birth, love, sex, work, emotions......Everything seems so trifle and so meaningless.....
One wonders..... What is the meaning of life.....Is there anything more in human existence that is different from animal existence?
Doesn't help much, does it? It does not answer any questions.
Perhaps the answers are there to the meaning of life and death. But we are yet to decipher them, see them.....
